Admin Application and Rules

Interested in becoming an admin or sub-admin of UNREST? Great! This journal will give you all the information you need to get your pack/colony ready and also let you know more about the roles of an Admin here at UNREST.

Admin Application:

In order to become an admin for UNREST, you will need to make sure you turn in the total Follower Points and Shrapnel needed to become an admin. In this note to the group, you should also note any other groups you are active in and any ideas/examples of how you will perform as an admin. Once you turn these in, you will need to fill out the following information for your pack/colony:

:bulletgreen:Put your selected character leader on the new app for your pack/colony. We currently do not allow new characters to lead at the end of an UNREST or from loners. You MUST use the character who is turning in the points for the position.
:bulletgreen:Create the app background. You will need to include a backdrop scene of your new pack/colony’s den site for the app background.
:bulletgreen:Fill out the Pack/Colony Information form and Sta.sh as a journal. Be sure to note the group for the admins to review to make sure all information needed is provided.
:bulletgreen:You should at least have some images for reference of your new territory. The very least you should draw a backdrop image of the den site. You may have just example images for the rest of the area if you are unable to do more
:bulletgreen:You MUST be able to take on the responsibilities of an admin – including status checks, noting reminders to members, managing points, managing the folders and updating your pack information journal frequently, writing seasonal synopsis of your pack/colony, creating Special Events, play NPCs in character and accepting or rejecting pieces to the group.
:bulletgreen:Should you choose to do so, you may create a new character for your sub-admin position or have players audition for the position if you’d like the help. Sub-admins will help with the status checks, noting reminders to members and managing points.

Admin Responsibilities:

:bulletred:You will need to be able to play your leader and NPCs when necessary and often. You may choose to play your leader with every new member of your pack/colony but it is not necessary. However, you will be expected to rotate into the NPC responsibilities. When no other admin is available or all other admins are already maxed out in NPC representation in RPs (max is three RPs) you will need to take on some NPC plays.

:bulletred:You are required to manage the activity status and movement of characters in your pack/colony. After two months of inactivity, admins should note these inactive members a reminder that they need to participate in written work at least once every three months and submit this completed work to the group within that time. There will be a thread in the admin area with the standard prompt to be used. Players who have not been active with their character(s) by the end of three months, the character shall be moved to deceased folder and removed as an active member to that pack/colony. You or your sub-admin will be responsible for this and for updating the bullets on your pack’s section of the activity status journal.

:bulletred:You will need to be able to write and run at least one Special Event for your pack/colony at least once a year. You must write the prompt, create the randomization number order (up to multiples of 5) or indicate it is a volunteer participation rate. You also choose what a member for participating in a certain role will earn. Positions that require purchase with Trinkets should also be listed. Remember, that Special Events are required participation and three months after the posting of your event, should a member in your pack/colony not participate, their character(s) will be moved to the deceased folder. Remember to send the activity note two months of no participation first!

:bulletred:You must provide a synopsis of your pack/colony every season-end. This means we are expecting you to know what’s going on in your pack, so please try to read or at least skim through everyone’s RPs in your pack/colony. You must double check Trinket and Shrapnel points for characters in their RPs or pictures. This should help in keeping the synopsis up to date by needing to comment on pieces.

:bulletred:You must be able to respond politely to group notes and also help players in need. We’re a friendly RP and we would like you to be friendly too!

:bulletred:Check to make sure your members are keeping their application sheets up to date. Send reminder notes to those who haven’t updated their profile for an entire season. Your sub-admin can help with this as well.

Sub-Admin Information:

The sub-admin position will allow help for admins with keeping member’s profiles updated, send reminders to members and help answer questions to the group. Sub-admins will not have access to group art or journals, but will be able to read and send notes and should be friendly and kind as well. Sub-admin positions will be held for auditions by the leader of the pack/colony the position is for. Sub-admin applicants will be applying to play their character as, adopt or be loaned a Beta ranked character for the RP. The winner will receive the position and responsibilities.

Removal from Admin Service:

Admins who choose to step down will be required to go into a cooling off period if they choose to continue play within the group. Admins will not be allowed to earn Follower points as Admins and once they step down cannot earn any until a six month cooling off period has ended. Admins who are not active enough to meet the minimum requirements for activity will be asked if they wish to continue their post or step down. If they wish to continue, a minimum requirement in a three month period will be given by the Founder and the admin must meet that requirement or be removed. Leader characters removed this way will have the choice to become a Loner or die and another admin will temporarily lead the pack/colony until a permanent leader can be found or until it is decided the pack/colony should be dissolved. Admins who step down will have their leader die and the pack/colony will go into a special UNREST period. Should the UNREST be unsuccessful, the pack/colony will be dissolved.

If your pack/colony is dissolved because of this, regular players must choose between becoming a Loner or joining a new pack/colony. Dissolved members can choose to join a new pack/colony with no point deduction. However, you will have thirty days after the dissolution of the pack to make your choices. This is the only Special Event that will not span the full 90 day period. At the end of thirty days if there are still characters that have not been realigned with a new pack/colony, they will be automatically assigned to loners and will have to turn in shrapnel if they wish to join a new pack/colony.
